    Distilleries / Bourbon:

    Peggy Noe Stevens, President - Peggy Noe Stevens and Associates

    Global speaker, author, media spokesperson and prominent experiential brand strategist, Peggy Noe Stevens has devoted herself – personally and professionally - to 30 years of hospitality, entertaining and developing brand destinations. While working for Brown-Forman Corporation, she directed iconic brands such as Jack Daniel’s, Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Southern Comfort, Fetzer and Sonoma Cutrer Vineyards.

    As a trailblazer for women in the bourbon and spirits industry, Peggy became the world’s first female Master Bourbon Taster and created the Bourbon Women Association in 2011. She also pioneered the conception and strategic development of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, which has become a global sensation for the spirits industry.

    Peggy has authored two books, Professional Presence: A Four-Part Guide to Building Your Personal Brand and the first chef-collaborative Bourbon and culinary book, The Culinary Cocktail Tour. She is a contributing food and spirits writer for American Whiskey Magazine, and Master Taster and entertaining expert for Bourbon+ Magazine. Peggy also serves as a spirit’s judge for the American Distilling Institute.


    Cleo Battle, CDME, CTA, Executive Vice President - Louisville Tourism

    Cleo has worked in the hospitality industry for 32 years. Prior to coming to Louisville, he spent 12 years as Vice President of Sales & Services of the Richmond Convention & Visitors Bureau in Richmond, VA.  He held the positions of Director of Sales and Sales Manager at the Richmond CVB.

    Battle began his hospitality career in the hotel industry working for Embassy Suites, Holiday Inn and Sheraton Hotels.  Battle is a native of Denver and a graduate of Metropolitan State University in Denver with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management.  He earned his Masters of Business Administration in 1997 from Averett University in Virginia.  He is both a Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) and Certified Association Sales Executive (CASE).

    Battle currently serves as Chair of the Destination International (DI) Sales & Marketing Committee, Past Chairman of the Destination & Travel Foundation, the Virginia State University Hospitality Department Advisory Board, and current board member of the Louisville Sports Commission, the Louisville Zoo and the Northeast YMCA of Louisville.


    Juva Barber, Director - Kentuckians for Better Transportation

    Juva Sizemore Barber is the Executive Director of Kentuckians for Better Transportation or KBT, the statewide association that educates and advocates for improvements in all modes of transportation including air transportation, rail, public transit, waterways, streets, roads, and highways/bridges.

    Barber joined KBT after serving as the Director for External Relations for the Indiana Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association. Prior to that position, she served as the Government Affairs Director for the Home Builders Association of Kentucky.

    Senior Living:

    Kathy Wiederhold, President - Thrive Memory Care

    Kathy Wiederhold is President of Thrive Memory Care at Beckley Creek in eastern Jefferson County. She joined the community while it was still in construction phase over three years ago. This is the third community Kathy has transitioned from construction through opening, and she brings a unique perspective to the afterthoughts that architects, designers and contractors should incorporate in the development phases of a project.

    Kathy is also a trainer for and certified by NIDE, National Institute for Dementia Education, a program that Thrive helped develop to advance understanding of dementia and proper approaches in caring for these individuals. Based in Atlanta, GA, Thrive Senior Living is on a mission to disrupt senior living as we have known it in the past, from design to care approaches.

    Kathy is a native of Central Kentucky and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Eastern Kentucky University.


    David Miller, Managing Partner - Healthcare Strategy Group (HSG)

    HSG Managing Partner, David W. Miller primarily focuses on strategy development, including strategic plans for hospitals & health systems and employed physician groups, affiliation/merger strategies, physician alignment strategies, primary care strategies, and service line planning.  He also provides board and medical staff education and retreat facilitation.  Before co-founding HSG in 1999, David spent four years as a Partner with the Galvagni-Miller Strategy Group and fifteen years as an executive with Norton Healthcare in Louisville.

    David is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and serves on the board of the organization’s Kentucky chapter. He holds a Master’s Degree in Health Administration from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Virginia Tech.
